San Antonio and Other Stuff

I must apologize for the lack of posts. Things have been quite busy over the summer and early fall.

My father in law passed away in early September. He was 91 years old, and had been failing in health for a long time. We were releived that he passed, but understandably sad that he is no longer with us.

Other interesting things have been going on with Mastermedia International. We are planning a Forum on ethics in media in mid November. More about that to come later.

I will be performing and speaking at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. The festival is always a treat, there are people from all walks of life who want to do something significant to change the culture around.

I will be speaking on "Narration and the Performing Arts for the Glory of God". The focus is some of the things I speak of on this blog. How the Christian's left the culture in the early part of the 20th century, how there is a need to focus on true excellence in whatever you do. How to deal with compromising situations or ethical dilemmas that come up in the media business.

I will also be debuting a new story at the Festival, Naaman the Leper! I will be performing on Thursday and Friday nights, and at the closing ceremony's on Saturday.

One note of trivia, this festival was featured in Variety's top 10 film festivals last year! The reason is that it provides a rather large prize to the winner of the overall award.

So... More posts to come, stay tuned!

Mr. Sarris,
I so enjoyed meeting you and your wife at the festival, and we were excited to find that you have CDs for sale. I'll be recommending your work to family and friends!
